Job Title: Chief Information Officer

Description: Chief Information Officer #041019 Duties: Leads the Information Technology functional area, by acting as a change champion, visionary, coach, mentor, and advocate of continuous staff development. Responsible for the planning, organization, and control of the Information Technology operation, including e-business, security, disaster recovery, data processing operations, systems development operations, and telecommunications. Evaluates, develops, and recommends short and long-range goals for IT operations. Coordinates and oversees effective integration and transition from existing systems to new systems. Ensures all information technology system applications are current in light of new developments in computer technology and the business needs. Also responsible for IT budget and staffing. Ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge and/or skill in project management; quality assurance and testing principles; networking principles; software development principles; business continuity principles, and possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Leads, selects, coaches, and develops staff using advanced personnel management practices and techniques. Leads the Information Technology function by setting the vision and providing direction. Makes things happen by encouraging and channeling the contributions of others, taking a stand on and addressing important issues, and acting as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement by being a change champion. Operates a client-server environment serving 280 internal clients with production, data warehouse and CRM products supported by an Oracle database. Additionally, 500 remote users are served with Web based applications.  
Requirements: The ideal candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, operations research, business (or related field) plus 8 years of progressively responsible senior IT Leadership work experience. MBA and relevant professional certifications desirable. Working experience in the financial services or insurance industry preferred. Salary $100 – 130K plus relocation and interview expenses
