Service
The following are ways that church members can serve the different needs of the
church and community.
Audio-Video Event Ministry Team - This team sets up and operates
microphones and video equipment for church events.

Baptism team - This is a team which assists the pastor and deacons in
preparing for and administering the ordinance of baptism.
Church sign ministry team - Lettering on the church sign in front of the
church must be changed occasionally. This team performs that service as needed.
Cradleroll ministry team - This ministry is to expectant parents. We
visit, give them a packet and enroll the unborn child in Sunday School. A preparation for
parenting video is available for loan.
Crisis Pregnancy Center - This ministry seeks to provide an alternative
to abortion by counseling and meeting various needs like temporary housing, medical care,
clothing, or helping with adoption procedures.
Decoration Ministry - This ministry is to decorate the church facilities
appropriately and attractively.
Drama Team - This ministry team presents Biblical truth in the Gospel
through dramatic vignettes. An example of this would be the Heavens Gates,
Hells Flames drama presented in our church during August 1997
Flower Ministry Team - This team secures and arranges flowers to be used
in the church building.
Food Services (Hospitality) Ministry - This group provides food services
for different ministries of the church, such as the mens and womens outreach
banquets.
Homebound - This ministry focuses on the seniors of the community to
lead, encourage and aid them in seeing Jesus as a source of hope by visiting, delivering
literature, audio and video helps, and showing special care during holidays.
Hospital Ministry - This ministry is to families who have had recent
hospital stays or illnesses and are in need of temporary help, such as cooked meals and
errands.
Property Maintenance and Grounds Ministry Team - This team is
responsible for the planning, planting and upkeep of all shrubs and trees and for general
beautification of the church grounds.
Media Center Ministry Team (library and audio visual aids) - This group maintains
an adequate church library of materials and equipment.
Partnership Mission Teams - This is a short term mission trip where
team members do evangelistic witnessing, teaching and preaching. These trips vary in
length from 10 days to 3 weeks. (Mexico, Brazil, France, Italy)
Prison Evangelism - This team visits local prisons, sharing the Gospel
and encouraging prisoners.
Publicity and Public Relations Ministry Team - This team oversees the
advertising program of the church, with special attention being given to special services
and activities of interest such as the Heavens Gates, Hells Flames drama,
Friendship Day, revivals etc. They work with program leaders and pastoral ministry leaders
to communicate the churchs work through media appropriate to its public.
Rebuilders (divorced) - This ministry seeks to meet the specific needs of
the divorced.
Recreation - This ministry helps members keep their temple physically fit
for life by offering a wide variety of team and individual sports activities. These
activities are also intended to serve as introduction points for people in the community.
One example is an
Aerobic exercise class where a group of ladies meet at the church for an
hour to share exercise, prayer and fellowship.
Sunday School Welcome Team - The welcoming team helps visiting families find the correct
Sunday School rooms by personally walking with them to the proper classroom and making
sure they are introduced to the teacher.
Tape ministry - This ministry provides either those who miss a weekend,
or someone who lives out of the area a chance to get the service by coordinating and
producing all the audio tapes.
Transportation Team - This committee is responsible for supporting the
transportation ministry of the church, including the maintenance and repair of all church
vehicles.
Usher Ministry Team - This team assists people into the worship service
by handing out bulletins, overseeing the service in general and assisting where needed.
Watchman Prayer Ministry (Isaiah 62-Watchman on the wall) - Each Watchman
team member pledges to spend 30 minutes of 1 hour in verbal prayer each week (on the day
and hour assigned) praying for revival in the church community and spiritual awakening for
the lost.
Worship greeters - The welcoming team warmly greets everyone who is on
their way to the worship service with a handshake and/or a smile. These people give first
impressions of friendliness, acceptance and love to members, attendees and visitors alike.
Youth sponsors - These members help on special trips, accompanying youth
pastor and teenagers on special events away from the church.
