West St. Charles Baptist Church's Pastor, Rev. Charles (Chuck) Lowman, joined us October 1, 2000. Rev. Lowman and his wife, Cindy, moved to Luling from Foley, Alabama, where Pastor Chuck was pastor of Pleasant View Baptist Church since Sept. of 1996. The couple has two adult daughters, Lesley and Karen. Rev. Lowman served for 23 years in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot, commander, and staff officer. He has also served at churches in Texas, Germany and at Enterprise, Alabama. He recieved his B.S. from the American Technological University at Killeen, TX and his Master of Divinity from the N.O. Baptist Theological Seminary.
Our Minister of Youth and Music is Rev. Keith Maddox. He and his wife, Monica, have two children: Kristin and Kevin. His hometown is Odessa, Texas and he is a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary
Deborah Seal is the valued secretary at WSCBC. Deborah and her husband, Loy, moved to Luling from Ruston, where her husband was Minister of Education at Cook Baptist Church. Deborah and Loy grew up in Jackson, Mississippi. They have four children Brad, Stephanie, Kenneth, and Laura. Deborah received her BS degree in 1975 from the University of Southern Mississippi in Speech Pathology/Deaf Education. She taught hearing impaired children for 6 years and kept children in her home for 14 years. She enjoys playing the piano, photography, sewing, pre-schoolers, Laura's soccer games and watching football games with her husband. Deborah accepted Jesus as her Savior at 10 years old and now gladly serves Him daily as her Lord. Caffie Pitre is our Custodian and has been with West St. Charles for many years.
